The objective : the 3 first places, synonymous with promotion to the 1st division in 2025
At the end of the first day, the Chanalets were 4th…. one place in the qualification.
After a second day of fire, the Chanalets finished 2nd of the day and also 2nd in the general classification.
In 2025, the Chanalets will play in the 1st division with the big teams of the AURA region.

The Gentlemen’s Trophy concerns this year 30 Auvergne Rhône Alpes clubs. The Chanalets team is made up of 28 ranked players of 3 to 20 d’index, she will try to defend her title won in July 2023. Each qualifying day concerns 12 different players from one match to another.
This Saturday 23 March the Chanalets team was traveling to the Golf d’Aix les Bains to meet the Golf de la Bresse on neutral ground in Match-Play.
The morning played in foursome formula was unfavorable to our colors. At the lunch break we were led 2 to 1. But the sun peeking out gave us hope of overturning the score thanks to the 6 afternoon teas.
Our number one, Yann Lebrat, strong in his current form, won the 13 6&5. In the process Cédric Tortel concluded with the same score against an index 7, nice victory. Marc Japhet who started in 4th position had the hole right from the 10 of his partner of the day, nice demonstration. The Chanalets leading 4 to 2 the smile was also back.
But La Bresse came back to score despite good resistance from Adrien Tournemelle and Ludovic Pizieux against promising players from La Bresse.
Pierre-Henri Samani in the last decisive single a detached time 5 up had to contain an opponent regaining confidence on the return of the course. The Bressan player putting his ball in the water hazard at the hole 17, Pierre-Henri with a monumental drive took away all hope of winning the match and thus gave Chanalets the victory. Next meeting on 6 April against Aix les Bains at the Bresse golf course. Thanks to the Association for its support in travel and training.
